I have seen a few articles about big data this week and we posted one example of its usage on our facebook page in an article highlighting that you can use masses of data in sport, to analyse competitors, their trends and so gain an advantage. But we thought it would be good to clarify, what is Big Data? And in what way is this topic remotely relevant to smaller businesses and their IT support needs?

Something that has changed recently on the communications' front, that we just wanted you to be aware of, is the regulations over 0845 and other 08 numbers - which many businesses use. The reasoning was that if someone has to complain, they shouldn't be paying a premium rate in some cases, plus these numbers aren't included in free mobile phone minutes on phone tariffs.
